Adventure-Loving Education
Philosophy: The Madison Valley Adventure Academy, LLC’s philosophy is to conduct a balanced, challenging yet developmentally appropriate curriculum for all learners. Our program is well-rounded to meet the multi-faceted needs of each student. We maintain our curriculum with a daily routine which provides predictability and security. We focus on the academic Montana State standards and social/emotional education.
We offer literacy and language development activities, related to reading, writing, listening and speaking, mathematical thinking with exploration, processing, problem solving and number sense activities. We offer creative thinking and expression through the arts including visual, musical, dramatic play and activity. We offer health and safety awareness. We work on social and emotional development including manners, communication, and community awareness. We also explore science through senses, inquiry, and discovery. We strive to provide a high quality program based on the philosophies of Montessori education, Reggio-Emilia, Waldorf, and Forest School in order to have an impact on the child’s future successes. We expect our program to be developmentally appropriate, including a stimulating environment with meaningful learning, thoughtfully planned activities, and active exploration. Students are assessed and lessons are planned to encourage growth in the areas needed. This is a living program developed to meet the needs of our current students. |
